Imagine this scenario:
You have worked extremely hard in a demanding but rewarding career. Your focus has been dominated by a desire and ambition to be successful in order to provide the very best for yourself and your family. And then, one day….. it ends!
Of course, you have planned for your retirement – in financial terms. But have you prepared yourself for the life-style changes that accompany retirement? How DO you spend your time without the structure of a scheduled working day? Can you replace or channel the drive and rewards from your career into different areas of your personal life? Will this change occur naturally, seamlessly, without thought or planning? It might…..but then again it might not! It can be an extremely challenging phase of our lives… but it need not be so.
If you prepare carefully for you retirement it can give you clarity, keep you focussed and provide achievable goals by making the most of every aspect of retirement. If you are not prepared or without a plan you can quickly lose a sense of identity resulting in a lack of self-esteem.
Retirement some years ago was perceived as a destination but now it is a process and I often describe my role as providing positive guidance through the transitionary phase from work to retirement.
My coaching or training sessions are specific to the needs of individuals and cover all the key life-style aspects of retirement.
Please get in touch with me if you would like further information. I am always happy for an informal conversation before any commitment to my professional services.
