Gill Mathias – The Reset Specialist

Helping clients reset their mindset, reclaim energy and create a life of balance, clarity and resilience.

As we grow older, a number of natural changes occur, changes both physically and mentally. Do you remember how confused and irrational you were during puberty? Our hormones seem to hi-jack our bodies and emotions, without our knowledge or permission. Everything felt unfamiliar and confusing, presenting the first (of many) major trials that will turn our lives upside down. Armed with our youthful energy and the idea that anything is possible we charged head on at this new challenge, forcing us to become young adults.

You finished School, possibly went to College or University, some got married and raised children. Through those years people carefully calculated the path they were travelling. Having made detailed plans that extended years down the road. Having had a very clear picture of what they were doing and where they were going. Others took a less strategic route, navigating life as each option was presented to them. Life experience along with the choices made had them feeling confident of whom they were. With all the challenges faced and all of the choices that had been made, good or bad it felt life had been pretty much figured out.

Midlife crisis affects all of us, some much more than others. There is a change that happens, a transition onto the next phase of our lives. All of a sudden some feel like nothing makes sense, almost like being a teen all over again. We no longer have the energy of our youth. The “anything is possible” outlook has been jaded by our own reality. It is common to feel broken down and lost, not knowing what to do next; but there is hope and you can bounce forward with the experience and challenges you have faced in your life.

Rebuilding your self-confidence and resilience can be an uphill battle that many struggle with. Rebuilding starts by learning to move on and to be resilient when faced with setbacks. You have so much more life to live.

Choose to take control of your path. Know that you are responsible for your actions. After a midlife crisis you are presented the opportunity to empower yourself, to apply all the lessons learned thus far

Bounce forward from the challenges in life. Discover the strength you have inside and use it to achieve anything you put your mind too. Resilience and self-confidence comes from within; the only person that can break it down or build it up is you.
