Gill Mathias – The Reset Specialist

Helping clients reset their mindset, reclaim energy and create a life of balance, clarity and resilience.

It is no shock that there are many ways to improve your life, but it is up to you to take the initiative. Life gets better by change – not chance. I implement the following practices within my daily life so I hope that it is helpful for you.

Daily Actions To Take Charge Of Your Life

Daily Actions To Take Charge Of Your Life

1. Get up early and focus on improving yourself.

Take time in the morning to focus and recharge. Meditate, read and exercise. I have done this for about two years and it has paid off tremendously. Just allowing 30-50 minutes to focus on yourself in the a.m. will allow you to start the day with a clear and focused mind. I have clients with young children and they set their alarms 30 minutes earlier than necessary to achieve this “recharge.”

2. Visualise your future self.

Use affirmations and visualisation to work on this daily. I am constantly trying to refine my approach, but when I’m done I feel engaged and energised.

3. Refuse to sweat the small stuff.

I have noticed that the small stuff can eat you alive. But the more you recognise that you will hardly or won’t remember the majority of these things 3-10 years from now, the more you can easily overlook them and focus on your big daily tasks.

4. Identify exactly what you want and why.

I have realised that having generic wishes gets me generic results. Realising a strong “why” is the first step you have to master. Generally, we all have desires – to lose weight or be rich or fill in the blank — but until I was able to find the true underlying meaning to my why I realised my results were without meaning.

5. Overcome limiting beliefs.

This has been a massive struggle for me to overcome over the years. What has helped is realising that limiting beliefs are just like speed bumps — they slow you down but you can easily get over them. What limiting beliefs are holding you back?

6. Surround yourself with positive people..

Have partnerships with key individuals who complement your strengths. Negative company will sap your energy.

7. Accept failure.

I don’t want to fail, you don’t want to fail — nobody wants to fail — but fast failure has allowed me to get to my successes quicker. Push past failure as it doesn’t define you, but can provide you with much better learning lessons than any of your successes.

I am giving you these practices that are making a difference in my life. Here’s to your many successes and to learning quickly from the many failures!
